Fantastic location & great service. The Arden City Hotel is centrally located in the historical centre of Istanbul which makes a great place stay if you want to visit sites such as the Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Basilica Cistern, Cagaloglu Hamami and Topkapi Palace. All these sites are within 5mins walk from the hotel.
It’s also very close to restaurants and shops.
The manager & staff are very friendly and attentive to your needs. We were able to get advice on how to get the other key sites such as Galata Bridge which was less than 20 mins walk and Grand Bazaar which was less than 15mins walk.
We were given regular supplies of water and rooms were cleaned daily.
The rooms are a very good size and was clean except for abit of dust. However when we informed reception one of the staff quickly appeared with cleaning equipment to clean up the dust. The rooms are also cleaned everyday.
Overall we had a wonderful stay at the Arden city hotel and had a great experience.
If you are looking for a hotel in a central location which offers superb service then the Arden City Hotel is for you. It might not be modern but it is certainly clean and spacious and the location puts it in top spot especially if you plan on visiting the famous tourist sites during your visit.
Some tips:
You can buy a tram card at the tram stop behind the hotel for less than £2.50 (130 lira). It’s a very cost efficient way of travelling around Istanbul.
Grand Bazaar was fun to visit but expensive. You can buy things cheaper elsewhere in Istanbul.
It’s roughly 40 -50 min journey from the airport to hotel (vice versa) with no traffic. If you are travelling to the airport in the afternoon/ evening give yourself ample time for travel as traffic is very bad during this period.. .

Our second visit to Arden City Hotel!. Second visit to Arden City Hotel!
We planned a second trip to the beautiful city of Istanbul and only came as we saw the rooms at this hotel where available.
Why?
The staff at Arden have treated us with great compassion on our first visit.
On our second visit we met some new staff and also senior staff who recognised us and welcomed us back.
Arden City Hotel is at an excellent location point.
It has breathtaking views of the Bosphorus from its terrace restraunt where you can enjoy breakfast with a lovely view.
Hagia Sophia is seen beautifully from here.
Grand camcilla in the far distant hills another stunning and enormous mosque.
Galata tower and surrounding areas.
The staff at the hotel are very welcoming. Greeting you and answering questions at the best of their abilities.
I even had an order delivered to the hotel with no issues by the staff and kept safely for me whilst i was out.
Arden City Hotel is a short 10 minutes walk to the grand bazar.
The Sultanhamet tramstop is located near the blue mosque, which is another short journey.
Hagia Sophia is 2 minutes away by foot.
You can walk to the ferries and eygyptian bazar again about 10 minutes away.
This hotel is not only convenient. It has budget friendly prices and amazing staff.
I am writing this on the way to the airport at 6 am. The staff gave me and my wife a sandwich each and some fruits to have for breakfast.
They make you feel more like family, really.
I am confident I will book here again on my next trip to Istanbul, god willing!
I recommend this hotel to my friends and family as much as I recommend it to you.
Thank you, Arden City Hotel, for making my visit great again!

An exceptionally pleasant experience in home away from home!. The hotel was clean and comfortable, and it's location was super in the heart of al-Fatih district, but it's most prominent feature was it's family-like, friendly, and exceptionally caring and cooperating staff.
While enjoying it's satisfying breakfast, we were also enjoying the view which included three of Istanbul's most famous, Sultan Ahmad Mosque, Hagia Sophia, and the Golden Horn. This was not our first time in Istanbul, but it was our first time in the hotel, and we will not hesitate to go back to the same pleasant experience once and again.. .

Amazing views from the terrace.. A wonderful hotel in an ideal location, a short walk away from the major historical attractions. The staff were professional and very helpful, especially Ozgur & Omar who helped with any queries we had and greeted us with a welcoming smile every time we came back to the hotel. The hotel restaurant on the terrace had amazing views of the Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque and the Bosporus River. The chef Memet was always happy to cook something at request exactly how we wanted it. Mineh was very attentive and polite. Thankyou for the hospitality.. .

Bring your own hairdryer. The Arden is a great hotel for tourists staying 1-2 nights with the goal of hitting the Sultanahmet tourist sites. The staff is professional and attentive, and the property is clean and well maintained. The rooftop view at breakfast is a magical way to start the day, and there are a lot of options to choose from for breakfast. It is very easy to find the hotel and to get to public transport. Wifi was decent, AC worked well.
The only things I didn't like was the hairdryer (which barely provided any heat to dry hair) and the lack of security for the rooms. I had people knock on my door several times, but did not answer because there was no safe way to do so. The door does not have a chain or a peephole to view who is outside.
For those with mobility issues--- while there is a one-person elevator to the 6th floor, there is still a steep set of stairs to climb to get to the breakfast room.. .

Another fabulous stay at this charming hotel!. Stayed here for our second visit in May 2025. We love this great hotel near to all the main sights and attractions. We enjoyed our stay here in 2024 so much we didn’t need to look anywhere else to stay.
If you’re looking for a hotel that has 72 inch flat screen tv’s with 200 plus channels, usb ports everywhere for all your devices, a full programme of non stop entertainment etc you won’t find it here.
I can guarantee what you will find however is the best stay in Istanbul you could wish for.
This hotel is spotlessly clean with old world style glamour, comfy beds, hot showers, great views and the best location for all the attractions in Istanbul. You’re also a short walk from a tram stop if you want to explore further afield.
All the staff are amazing and super friendly. Nothing was too much trouble and everyone greeted us with a smile snd hello.
From walking into reception and being greeted by Emre or Omer you will not be disappointed. These two gentlemen are wonderful and will go above and beyond to make sure your stay is perfect. Each day we stayed Emre took an interest in what we were doing, suggesting things to make it even better. Thanks to him we discovered the charming park that leads to the water front. Delightful!
Omer always greeted us on our return in the evening, wanting to know what adventures we had that day.
The dining area is at the top of the hotel with amazing views towards the Bosphorus river, Topkapi Palace, Hagai Sophia and the Blue Mosque is a great place to sit and have breakfast or an evening meal. I have to say the omelettes are delicious! Memet, one of the chef’s is great, ensuring that everything is to your liking, as do all the chefs. Sadly we didn’t get the girls name that served us at breakfast but she was very friendly and attentive.
We ate at the hotel one evening. Having the great view and good food that was cooked well and served by our lovely waiter (who we first met in 2024 so was great to see him and catch up) rivalled places that charge far more.
Aslan, the general manager is very visible, charting to us and other guests, ensuring that his guests are happy with their stay snd also making sure his team are happy as well which is equally important. Happy team, happy guests.
I will end by saying, stay at this delightful boutique hotel and you won’t be disappointed.
We will be back,,,,,,,,. .
